1. What officiant services do you offer, and what do they include?

As a professional wedding officiant based in Louisville, Kentucky, I specialize in creating unique and personalized ceremonies that reflect each couple's love and personality. My services include an initial consultation to understand your vision, crafting a customized ceremony script, officiating the ceremony, and handling the legal filing of your marriage license.

2. How much do your officiant services cost?

I offer the following packages:

         •        All-Inclusive Wedding Package (Wedding Day Only): $375 (requires a $150 deposit). This package includes a personalized ceremony crafted to reflect your unique relationship, unlimited communication and guidance throughout the planning process, and professional day-of ceremony services.

         •        All-Inclusive Wedding Package (Wedding Day + Rehearsal): $495 (requires a $150 deposit). This package includes all the features of the Wedding Day Only package, plus attendance at the rehearsal to ensure a seamless ceremony.

         •        Elopement Package: $250 (total due at booking). This option, designed for couples who prefer a quick and straightforward ceremony, includes a pre-written, ready-to-go ceremony and day-of ceremony services.

         •        Marriage License Signing Service: $50. This service is perfect for couples who prefer a simple and stress-free way to make their marriage official without an entire wedding ceremony.

Just so you know, travel fees apply for locations beyond 30 minutes (20 miles) from Jeffersonville, IN. As a token of appreciation for your service, I also offer a 20% discount for active military couples.

3. Do you require a deposit to secure our wedding date?

A non-refundable deposit of $150 is required to reserve your wedding date for the All-Inclusive Wedding Packages. This ensures that I'm available and allows me to begin crafting your personalized ceremony. The remaining balance is due before the ceremony date. For the Elopement Package, the total amount is due at booking.

4. Are there additional fees for travel or attending rehearsals?

Travel fees may apply for ceremonies outside of the Louisville, Kentucky, area. Complimentary travel is included up to 30 minutes (20 miles) from Jeffersonville, IN. For travel beyond 30 minutes, a fee of $50 applies for up to 45 minutes of travel. Attendance at rehearsals is included in the All-Inclusive Wedding Package (Wedding Day + Rehearsal). For other packages, rehearsal attendance can be arranged for an additional fee.

5. Can we customize our wedding ceremony?

Absolutely! Your wedding ceremony should reflect your unique relationship. We will work together to incorporate your personal stories, preferred rituals, and any cultural or religious elements that are meaningful to you. Unlimited edits are included to perfect every word of your ceremony.

6. Why should we hire a professional officiant instead of having a friend or family member officiate?

Hiring a professional officiant ensures that your ceremony is conducted smoothly, legally, and with the appropriate level of professionalism. A professional brings experience in public speaking, ceremony planning, and legal knowledge, which can alleviate stress and allow you and your guests to enjoy the moment fully. While involving a loved one might seem personal, it can sometimes lead to unforeseen challenges.

7. How far in advance should we book your services?

It’s advisable to book officiant services as early as possible, ideally six to twelve months in advance, especially for popular wedding dates during peak seasons. This ensures availability and provides ample time for personalized ceremony development.

8. Will you help us with our vows?

Yes, I can help you with vow writing to help you express your feelings eloquently and authentically. Whether you prefer traditional vows or something more personalized, I can provide guidance and examples to inspire you.

9. How do you handle the legal aspects of our marriage?

As your officiant, I will guide you through the legal requirements, make sure all necessary documents are completed accurately, and file your marriage license with the appropriate authorities as soon as possible after the ceremony. In Kentucky, you must bring your own witnesses to the signing, as they are required to make your marriage official. In Indiana, witnesses are not needed, keeping the process even simpler.

10. What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. The service agreement outlines my cancellation and rescheduling policies, including any potential fees or forfeitures. Please review these terms carefully during the booking process, and feel free to discuss any concerns with me directly.
